Raising Readers in Wyoming is successful due to the “sagebrush roots” efforts of Wyoming citizens who helped plan and execute
county kick-off events, and on an on-going basis, prepare and
deliver books to medical providers and assist with fundraisers.
Professionals from around Wyoming contribute their time to serve
as committee members. Committees include: a Literacy Review
Committee that chooses the books, an Evaluation Committee, and a
Board of Directors.
It is estimated that volunteers contribute 500 hours per year in
service to Raising Readers in Wyoming.
